Question 1

What is a Saju fortune reading (사주 운세)?

Accepted Answer

A Saju fortune reading analyzes how the current day's, month's, or year's elemental energy interacts with your birth chart (Four Pillars). Unlike horoscopes based on sun signs, Saju readings are calculated from the specific interplay of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water across your eight characters.

Question 2

How does Saju compatibility (궁합) work?

Accepted Answer

Saju compatibility compares the Five Elements balance of two people's charts. It looks at whether your Day Masters support or clash, how your elements complement gaps in each other's charts, and the overall harmony between your Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches.

Question 3

How often should I check my Saju fortune?

Accepted Answer

Daily readings help with timing decisions and managing energy. Yearly readings are best checked at the start of each lunar new year or solar year to understand major themes. Compatibility readings are useful when starting a new relationship or business partnership.
